What does DEINKI mean?
DEINKI is a made-up word. It came to my mind when I decided to start my studio and be able to work from home, so I can be more present for my children. DEINKI comes from dein Kind, which is German for “your child”. Not only it’s the reason why I started all this, for my children, but I also design for children, so… it made sense!
Where are you based?
I’m originally from Argentina, but I’m based near Hamburg, Germany. We can communicate fluently in English, Spanish or German.
What are your business hours?
You’ll find me in my studio from Monday to Fridays, from 9 AM to 2 PM (Central Europe time). If this doesn’t match your schedule or your time zone, make sure you get in touch with me so we can find a suitable time for both to meet. Here is a practical time zone converter.
What are your qualifications?
I’ve successfully completed a degree in Fashion Design at the University of Buenos Aires plus an exchange semester at the University of Applied Science in Berlin, Germany.
In terms of textile design, I’ve taken more than 50 different online classes from industry referents such as Bonnie Christine, Shannon McNab, Elizabeth Olwen, Mel Armstrong, Maja Faber, Ohn Mar Win, Nerida Hansen, etc.
How can I contact you?
The easiest way is to send me an e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. Besides you can use my contact form or send me a DM on Instagram. If you want us to have a chat, feel free to make an appointment for a video call.
I don’t live in Europe, can we still work together?
Absolutely, most of my clients are based in different parts of the world: Canada, USA, Egypt, Netherlands, UK, Argentina, Singapore, etc. Thanks to technology, it is easier than ever to stay in touch and work perfectly well remotely.
Do you offer consultation services?
Yes, I do. I offer a so-called “Pick-My-Brain-Session”, where you can ask me anything you want regarding the fashion and textile industry. This service is for those who would like my advice regarding a project they have in mind but need to clear some things out before moving on.
What about color, do you work with Pantone?
I work with Pantone colors on my computer and I own the Pantone Color Catalog for Textiles as well to ensure the colors in your collection go perfectly with each other.
What are your deliverables?
Collection overview sheets with or without product feature specifications, flat sketches front and back (black & white and/or in color), colorways sheet, artwork sheet, and specs if needed, color chips, editable tech packs in .xls format.
Do you work with Startups?
Yes, I do and I love it! Since the beginning of 2021, I’ve been working with several women-owned start-ups and enjoying helping them bring their vision and ideas to life through my designs.
Do you work with manufacturers and do material sourcing?
Working with the right manufacturer for your project isn’t easy. It depends on many factors like location, certifications, minimum order quantities (MOQ), availability, etc. I don’t have manufacturing partners (yet).
Same with fabrics, we can talk about your needs in terms of fabrics and trims but sourcing is not a service I’m offering at the moment.
Do you also do sewing patterns and grading?
Even if I do have a vast knowledge of garment construction, my specialty is not the technical area of garment development. Coming up with an effective size spec chart is a challenging task, especially for babies and kids, where there are so many sizes. Sewing patterns and grading are a task perfect for garment technicians, sewing pattern makers, and seamstresses.
Do you do logos?
No, I don’t do logos. I know it seems easy to have one person do it all, but the truth is, there are so many talented Graphic and Branding Designers out there who are focused on logo creation and have all it takes to create the perfect logo and branding for you.
Do you have more questions?
Feel free to book a free discovery call, where we'll discuss your needs and how I can help you. After setting up a date and time, I'll send you a short form to get to know you and your brand and the link to the video call.
